Privacy policy
This policy explains what data the game Heliospace (for iOS, Android, the web and later desktop) and its online service at heliospace.name.org.ua process, why, and what you can do about it.
Who is responsible
Heliospace is developed by Ivan Sydorenko, an individual developer in Ukraine, who is the controller of the data described here. Contact: heliospace@name.org.ua.
What data we process
- Game account. When the game goes online it creates an account for your device: a random identifier made by the game itself (not your phone’s hardware ID or advertising ID) and an automatically generated account name.
- Email and password — only if you link them, to open the same save on other devices. The password is stored only as a salted hash.
- Game data. Your company’s save (progress, fleet, resources, settings such as language) and the records of battles re-checked by the server.
- Technical data. Your IP address and technical details of requests in the server logs, needed to run the service and keep it secure.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers or payment card data. The game has no ads, no analytics and no tracking tools.
Why
- To provide the game, keep your save in the cloud and move it between your devices (performance of our agreement with you when you play).
- To re-check battle results on the server, so competitive modes stay fair (our legitimate interest and that of other players).
- To protect the service against abuse and attacks (legitimate interest).
- To answer your requests (our agreement with you and legal obligations).
Where the data is and who else sees it
The data is kept on servers of OVHcloud in Warsaw, Poland (European Union); OVHcloud acts only as our hosting provider. We do not sell your data and do not share it with anyone else. If sign-in with Apple or Google or in-game purchases are added later, those are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, and this page will be updated before that happens.
How long we keep it
- Account and cloud save: until you delete the account. After deletion they are removed from the live database at once and from backups within 14 days.
- Server logs: rotated automatically and kept for no longer than 30 days.
- The save on your device stays there until you remove the app or its data, or use “Reset progress” in the game.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, a copy of it, correction, deletion, restriction or objection to processing. Write to heliospace@name.org.ua; we answer within 30 days. You can also complain to a data protection authority — in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights; in the EU, the authority of your country.
Deleting your account

Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data; the game can be played without giving an email. If you believe a child has given us an email, write to us and we will delete it.
Security
All connections to the service use HTTPS, access to the servers is restricted to the developer, and passwords are stored only as hashes.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date below changes too; important changes are also announced in the game.
